ABOUT OUR DIRECTOR:

Rachel Seaboldt
Growing up in New Fairfield, CT, Rachel discovered her passion for dance at an early age. Under the guidance of the Larnel School of Performing Arts, she delved into various dance styles, including tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and pointe, marking the beginning of a dance journey that has spanned over two decades.

Transitioning to Western Connecticut State University after high school, Rachel continued to pursue her love for dance. During her college years, she took on roles as a dance teacher and administrator at Seven Stars School of Performing Arts in Brewster, NY. Rachel's dedication to dance extended beyond traditional forms, as she explored and performed line dances at various venues across CT and NY for more than 10 years.

Following her college years, she contributed her expertise to Spark Arts in Bethel, CT, where she taught dance for a year and a half and served as the dance program director for four months until its closure.

In 2017, Rachel embarked on a new chapter by establishing Danceline Bethel, initially with just eight students. Over time, she has nurtured and expanded the studio, finding immense joy in sharing the art of dance with the community of Bethel and its surrounding towns. Rachel's commitment to her craft and the happiness it brings to others continues to drive the growth and success of Danceline Bethel.

ABOUT OUR TEACHERS:

Sara Parille has been dancing since she was a teenager. She studied dance throughout middle school, high school, college, and beyond. She is well versed in various forms of dance including tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, pointe, and even country line dancing! She has been an active performer in musical theater and loves any opportunity to use her skills in choreographing.

When she isn’t teaching dance, she is teaching high school students as a dual certified Special Education and Social Studies teacher. She received her bachelor’s degree in history from Western Connecticut State University. She received a masters degree in Education from Sacred Heart University and a masters degree in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University.

Working at Danceline has offered her a unique opportunity to combine her personal passion for dancing and performance with her background in child education. She has been working with children of various ages throughout her life as it was a dream of hers to become a teacher since she was five years old. She is able to bring her experiences in education into the dance classroom to provide students the opportunity to grow their skills while also having a lot of fun in the process! Feel free to ask her any questions about dance, history, or her other favorite passion, Harry Potter.

Diana-Eileen Toland Matos, a seasoned dancer from Bethel, CT, embarked on her dance journey at the age of 6. With a rich background in various dance styles and a foray into musical theater, she not only perfected her own craft but also emerged as a skilled choreographer across diverse genres. Currently co-coaching the BHS Dance Team, Diana-Eileen passionately imparts her knowledge and choreographs routines, creating a nurturing space where young dancers feel safe to explore and express themselves.

Her commitment to cultivating a love for dance goes beyond the studio as she remains an active member of the Western Connecticut State University Dance Team, continuously seeking growth and staying abreast of the latest trends.

With a heart dedicated to the art of movement and a vision of nurturing the next generation of dancers, she wants to serve as a beacon of inspiration, fostering an environment where every child can shine.

Gretta Roche was born and raised in Puebla, Mexico until the age of eight, and has lived in Bethel ever since. Like millions of other girls across the world, she was initially inspired by watching popular television shows about dance. Gretta would spend hours trying to recreate her favorite dance routines and mimicking the tricks she saw on screen. At thirteen years old, she began her formal dance training, and has been dancing ever since!

Gretta has trained predominantly in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. She was an engaged member of her school’s dance team all throughout middle school and high school. Gretta also trained and danced competitively as a teenager.

Gretta has a passion for education, and is currently studying Spanish Secondary Ed. at Western Connecticut State University. Gretta wholeheartedly believes that it is never too early nor too late to start dancing. With a bit of determination and a lot of passion, anyone can be a dancer.
